Bens new BFF (Best Friend Forever)

Seriously, he loves this giraffe that our friend, Traci gave him... he carries it everywhere, he feeds it, it sits on the couch with him and today during his nap, he wanted the giraffe's face sticking through the crib staring at him - might have something to do with the zoo last week when we saw Colin feed the giraffe's... nonetheless, I find it somewhere in between amusing and creepy. (P.S. it's a plastic blow-up giraffe, not stuffed - all the more creepy!) P.P.S. - had to include an adorable pic of Sophie and Jackson enjoying my famous smoothie today!

Family dinner night

We had our friends, the Spiers & Kearins over last night for dinner... finally a chance to hang with the new mommy's and daddy's and their beautiful kiddos all together!

Zoo-B-Que

Our hidden treasure in Santa Barbara, the Zoo... held their annual Zoo-B-Que (BBQ after hours) last night...it was such a blast! We ran into SOOO many friends and past PEP people..... a beautiful evening!

Last minute dinner date with the Bridges!

Our good friends from Thousand Oaks ended up at our house last night for a suprise dinner date... so fun to see them and their growing boys, Dylan & Jake.... we fed the kids and then let them run around while we had a quickie adult dinner - so fun to have you guys... we miss you!

wedding, Jess, birthday party, and more!

It was a crazy, busy, fun weekend for us... started with my girl, Jess coming into town from Albuquerque for the weekend on Friday night... Saturday we had the honor of attending Kelly & Mark's wedding (good friends of ours here in Santa Barbara) who got married at the Court House and had a very fun reception at The Harbor Restaurant on the wharf. The weather was stunning to say the least... On Sunday night, it was onto homeade pizza night with friends and ended it all today (Monday) with a relaxing and final summer pool date/bbq with our friends, the Miles.

WHEW! Pooped out and ready for some R & R - isn't that what the weekend was for??!?!
