Boys Will be Boys!

I cannot imagine any of Ben's friends that are girls doing either one of these things (putting his fruit in his drink and then drinking it during lunch and peeing in the bushes). Oh, the joys of what else we have to look forward to! :)

Does Ben know his vegetables?

We are part of a CSA Program (Community Supported Agriculture) and we get a box of organic, locally owned, fresh vegetables and fruits delivered to our doorstep every OTHER Wednesday. (It used to be weekly and I would end up not being able to use everything within a week, get panicky that I'd have to throw these beautiful veggies away or that they'd end up in our compost bin, and then end up making weird omelets with odds and ends of everything from the box, so changing to the every other is great).

Our box arrived last week right as Steve & Ben arrived home so we thought we would quiz Ben on his vegetables .... Even though he doesn't eat many of them, I'm greatful he can name most of them!

Goodbye Miles Family

Our friends, the Miles have left us for Potato Land! (Idaho). Since we have known them, they have been talking about possibly leaving as her parents live there and it's much more affordable to live. They finally took the plunge last week and although we are thrilled for them in this new adventure, it was certainly hard to say goodbye to our "family". The boys, Ben & Colin have become true brothers as they have known one another since birth (see baby pic below) and have grown to be amazing 2.5 year olds together. We can't wait to come to Idaho and have you guys back soon! Here's some last day pics together...

Happy 4th Of July!

We are cramming in as much time as possible with our friends, The Miles before they leave -- sad to say goodbye, but happy for their new adventures! Last night was another rockin' BBQ at their house... the Allen's joined us so the three boys (Ben, Colin, Cooper) had a blast! The fireworks were incredible from the best spot ever to watch them! Ben went to bed at 10:45 PM.... he was such a trooper & loved the fireworks!
