Beach Frolicking

We have really had incredible weather these past few weeks and with great winter weather in Santa Barbara comes amazing sunsets.... the kind that just light up the sky. We were at the beach on Saturday for sunset and had so much fun just puddle jumping and running and throwing rocks. It's amazing what a beach has to offer in terms of natural fun... here's a few great pics and one of Ben literally FALLING in the ocean -- my reaction is priceless! (and I think it shows how much I have mellowed out as a parent - I didn't even scream!) :)

The Palms

Every year that my parents come out we hit up the Palms in Carpinteria... It's the weirdest place... a total dive with mediocre food and stiff drinks, but it's always packed and we always have a blast. We topped the night off with a delish carrot cake at my parents condo on the beach after dinner as a final celebration of my dad's birthday last week.
