Goodbye Grammy & Grandpop

After 2 months of having my parents here with us from Minnesota, today was D-day (departure day). It's been soooo wonderful having them here to share life with us and just be able to live together (as adults).... It's been especially awesome watching them bond with Ben, their one and only grandchild. They love him so dearly and watching him really come to life with them, recognize them for who they are and start to really rely on them was such a joy.

The things Ben will miss most about Gr & Gr:
1. Someone to always pay attention to him and play with him!
2. Warm grilled cheese sandwiches that Grammy makes him (and chocolate milk & ice cream, which Grammy introduced him to)
3. Their hugs in the morning
4. Grandpop putting him to bed at night and giving him extra bounces & love
5. Beach time/walks
6. Someone to always pay attention to him and play with him! :)

As a "departure" gift, my mom knitted Ben the CUTEST vest!

We'll miss you guys... have a safe trip home & we can't wait until next winter when we know you'll be back for even longer! :)
