Every year that my parents come out we hit up the Palms in Carpinteria... It's the weirdest place... a total dive with mediocre food and stiff drinks, but it's always packed and we always have a blast. We topped the night off with a delish carrot cake at my parents condo on the beach after dinner as a final celebration of my dad's birthday last week.

It is my dad's birthday today... luckily, my parents are usually in California over this month so for the last few years we have celebrated with them. Happy to have them with us this year too... happy birthday poptop... we love you! :)

Happy Birthday Dad!

It was my dad's birthday yesterday... can you believe this young looking guy is 64??? :) It was great to be able to have him here and celebrate together, versus over the computer and phone. We put the kiddo to bed and got on with the celebration... beers, buffalo burgers and apple pie!
