San Diego

We took off for the weekend and headed to LA on Friday and San Diego on Saturday... I got Steve Padres tickets (he's a big Padres baseball fan) for Father's Day and he was really excited to take Ben to his first baseball game. We had a fast and furious weekend... saw our friend Alyssa that is moving from Chicago to San Diego and just happened to be in SD finding a place to live and of course we saw Steve's good friend, Tim - they both got to meet Ben for the first time, which was awesome!

On Friday afternoon we landed at my aunt/uncle's house in LA to hang with Beth, Chad, Avery and Grant (aunt/uncle are in London). We had a lazy afternoon/evening in the pool and hot tub and ordered dinner in... on Saturday, we headed south to San Diego, stayed at the Omni Hotel and hit Richard Walker's pancakes for breakfast on Sunday with Tim, made a random trip to Ikea after breakfast (how is it possible to need nothing from Ikea walking in and walk out with a cart full of cool stuff for $200?) and then we went to Petco Park and watched the game. Ben was in need of his "bibi" (pacifier) almost full time by game time as he skipped his nap and it was about 100 degrees. He's a great little traveller, and all in all he did great as long as he had his bibi. :)
